Report of Forum meeting held on May 23rd, 2018


The minutes of the Forum meeting held on Wednesday May 23rd in the Manor Room, Teversal Village, are now available here.

The minutes refer to the latest Working Group Reports which can be found via the links below.

During the meeting, the Hydrocarbons & Minerals working group urged Forum members and all local residents to sign the petition against the governments plans to significantly relax the Planning requirements for exploratory drilling for shale gas.
The working group also urged Forum members and all local residents to write in support of the National Trust, who are being taken to court by Ineos (a major shale gas company) for refusing to allow exploratory drilling at Clumber Park - a template letter is available in PDF or Word format.

The meeting also heard from the HS2 working group about the forthcoming HS2 Phase 2b public consultation events being held in the area during June & July.  A list of these events can be found here.
